Description
“Bijou” is an experimental book, on the border between the art book and the fanzine, printed entirely in Riso.
40 paintings on paper, 106 × 136 cm, made between december 2019 and december 2020, reinterpreted with the density and depth of colors as focus point.
It is about finding what the oil ink of the riso offers in terms of complexity and depth, with up to 8 color passages per format.
Each painting faces the previous back, a screen of 10% slightly veiling the transparency.
For this printing performance, 65 liters of inks will have been necessary, with the support of Riso France.
This book is a co-publication with éditions 3FPJ. Preface by Stéphane Calais.
