L'inédite 05 - Chanter pour ne pas dépérir (Sébastien Sans Arcidet)
Sébastien Sans-Arcidet
L'Inédite is a poster series inviting different artists to create a personal image in resonance with their current practice, working process, or simply their present concerns.
Usually, the title comes after the image, as a way of completing it. It is both an act of mediation and a sign of trust in my artistic gesture: I let the initial idea guide me into unknown territories, allowing the subject to deepen on its own while remaining far from any didactic intention.
Here, it was quite the opposite. It was through my notes, and through a succession of titles written one after the other, that “Singing So as Not to Fade Away” emerged. Singing plays a very important role in my life, and only recently did I realize that it helps me better navigate moments of anxiety—whether through breath control or by projecting myself into stories that don’t need to be more than they are. Songs are one of the greatest sources of joy in my life.
